The adhesive tape of Teflon tube products is vulcanized with sulfur curing system. The heat resistance of its vulcanizate can be improved by reducing or avoiding the use of elemental sulfur, which can minimize or eliminate polysulfide cross-linking and mainly produce single sulfur or disulfide cross-linking.

The use of peroxide is necessary to achieve good heat resistance, as curing with peroxide produces carbon-carbon crosslinks that are more thermostable. Special attention should be paid to other additives when using peroxide. For example, the selection of antioxidants needs to be more stringent, as many of them interfere with peroxide, vulcanization.

In addition, when using peroxide, reduce the amount of acid fillers to prevent peroxide cations from decomposing, resulting in low vulcanization of the high-pressure hose (in the form of lower hardness, lower modulus and higher compression set) . Adding basic compounds, such as zinc oxide or magnesium oxide, where possible, can usually improve the crosslinking efficiency of the peroxide. Still have paraffin oil effect is better, want to avoid using aromatic hydrocarbon oil and solvent.
